Duct Cleaning

Aspen One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning provides home air duct cleaning and repair services to improve your indoor air quality so you can breathe easily and keep comfortable. Our air duct technicians utilize specialized cleaning equipment to guarantee the best results and maximize the quality of your indoor air. We clean the air ducts in your system individually, from the grill to the main component. We ensure the entire air duct is cleaned from top to bottom. We can also help to prevent air leaks by repairing and sealing ducts and adding air sealing and insulation. Our specialized blowers, airbrushes, and vacuums are used to dislodge and remove any debris, dirt, contaminants, and mold from your ducts, HVAC system, and vents. This will go a long way in improving the air quality of your home by removing allergens known for causing problems.

1. Better Overall Air Quality

Your home’s interior air should always be as clean and healthy as it can be, and a clean air duct system will help ensure this. You might be surprised to learn that all sorts of airborne particulates from dirty air ducts cause unclean air in your home. Pollen, pet dander, mold and mildew can all play a role in contaminating the air coming out of the ducts.

2. Reduction of Allergens

Allergens, the substances that produce allergic reactions in people, can be effectively controlled by keeping your home’s air duct system clean. Having your system checked and cleaned on a regular basis is a good way to prevent or at least minimize any buildup of these substances and keep them in check.

3. Odor Reduction

Dirty ducts can accumulate odorous molecules that actually distribute foul-smelling air throughout the home. A thorough duct-cleaning removes odor-causing molecules, resulting in a fresher smelling home.

4. Less Chance of Needed Repair

When you have your air ducts cleaned on a routine basis, there is much less chance that you will need AC repair in or around Jackson Michigan. Air duct cleaning helps your HVAC technician to keep an eye on potential problems before they occur.

5. Energy Savings

By keeping your air duct system clean and fresh, you’re likely to see savings in your energy bill. Your air conditioner and furnace won’t have to work as hard to keep your home cool in summer and warm in winter. These major appliances are designed to operate in a reasonably clean environment. By keeping your air ducts clean, these units can run at top efficiency.

6. Mold and Mildew Prevention

Condensation from central air conditioning can build up inside dark air ducts, creating a perfect environment for mold and mildew to thrive. If left untreated, this condition can lead to the potential for serious health ramifications. Duct cleaning on a routine basis by a certified HVAC technician will help ensure your ducts don’t become a breeding ground for these unhealthy pathogens.

Tips From The HVAC Professionals

Frequently Asked Questions

Contrary to what you may believe, there is no set parameter for sizing a system to the precise square footage of your home. Because homes are all built so differently, your home’s HVAC system will depend on its specific construction.

To determine the size HVAC system you need, you need to have a licensed HVAC professional from Aspen One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning evaluate your home. Our expert technicians will examine your home’s layout and make recommendations depending on your home’s individual needs. Many factors go into calculating the size of a furnace or air conditioning system your home needs. Factors include the size of your home, the number of windows in your home and which direction they face, elements surrounding your home, and expectations your family has for the comfort of your home.

With all of this information, Aspen One Hour can propose a range of energy-efficient options for perfectly heating and cooling your space all year long. Call us today for your appointment!

Increasing the efficiency of your home’s HVAC system can be relatively easy. Most importantly, be sure to change your filters regularly and with the Aspen Comfort Club membership, you have peace of mind knowing that your filters are replaced at your annual tune-ups! Also, make sure your thermostat is set at higher temperatures in the summer and lower temperatures in the winter. It doesn’t take the body long to adjust to incremental changes of 2-5 degrees, and these changes can save you a lot of money on your energy bills.

Lastly, you’ll want to make sure you keep blinds closed on windows that let in direct sunlight, or use curtains to shade your home while still letting in some light. Though natural light is something we all crave, keeping your blinds and curtains closed during the hottest days of the year, especially if you are not home, can drastically decrease the effort your AC system is required to make.

Regular maintenance on your HVAC system should be performed twice a year. The licensed professionals at Aspen One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning recommend having your system serviced in the spring before the weather heats up again, and in the fall before the weather cools down. If you’re a member of our Comfort Club, this is included in your pre-paid services along with many other services we offer.

Having regular maintenance performed on your system allows for a longer system life, higher efficiency, and proactive service to stop issues before they happen. Call us today at (517) 879-2049 to schedule your maintenance or to join our Comfort Club!

In older homes that either have boiler or baseboard heating, there may not have ductwork run throughout the home, making it difficult and costly to add a traditional central air conditioning system. Therefore, a ductless heat pump, sometimes called a mini-split air conditioner or a ductless air conditioner, is a cooling system that does not utilize ducts for moving treated air throughout the space. It takes warm air from one area and moving it to another. There is an outdoor compressor unit as well as air handling units indoors to allow the system to function.

The heat is transferred through the system. It goes through the cycle of evaporation and condensation. A refrigerant substance is used through a compressor pump to help achieve this cooled air. The system contains two heat exchange coils. One of those contains the necessary refrigerant material. The other works to evaporate it. This allows the refrigerant to absorb the heat from the area. This happens during the evaporation process. They work to maintain the specific temperature a person desires by using a thermostat to control the movement of the air between the coil systems. If you’re looking to upgrade your home’s comfort but don’t have ductwork, a heat pump can be an excellent option. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) refers to the condition of the air within and around homes/buildings, especially as it relates to the health and comfort of the occupants. Good IAQ implies that the air is free from pollutants and contributes to a comfortable and safe living or working environment.

How Can I Improve My IAQ?

To enhance indoor air quality, you can:
  • Change air filters regularly
  • Use air purifiers
  •  Ensure proper ventilation
  •  Control humidity levels
  •  Keep the living space clean and dust-free

How Often Should I Change My Filters?

Regular filter changes are vital for maintaining optimal performance. It is generally recommended to replace filters or clean reusable filters every one to three months. However, the frequency may vary based on factors like the type of filter, the level of usage, and the indoor air quality of your home.

Call Aspen One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning today to schedule your appointment to see how you can improve your air quality.

The average lifespan of an HVAC system is around 15-20 years, but factors such as maintenance, usage, type of system, and the quality of the equipment may decrease or increase the lifespan. Regular maintenance can significantly extend the system’s lifespan and Aspen One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning is here to help!
